At the end of 2020, during the COVID lockdown, I was thinking of the future of travel for Booking.com. A lot was different last year and of course it’s still. Some planned trips
to other countries were not possible. But when I look back over the last month, I still spent so much time in nature and discovered new places in my region or even close to my own
region. It's the simple pleasures that inspire me again and again.
Spending time in nature is one of those simple pleasures for me. You don't have to travel to the end of the world to do this. There are actually many options for doing this in
your own region. Even though we're in a lockdown again in Germany, I'm making plans for my next trips maybe I'll take a different approach, but one thing is still the same: the
big desire to spend time in nature.
